We’d love your input. Help us understand the barriers to green infrastructure by following this link to a quick questionnaire.

We are working with Kirstin Newfield a PhD Candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto on “Disciplinary Perspectives on Low-Impact Development”. Kirstin is researching:

  1. how the multidisciplinary nature of Low-Impact Development (LID) design affects the implementation and effectiveness of LID technologies; and,
  2. how the perspectives of each discipline differ regarding design process, disciplinary roles in design and implementation, efficacy of LID technologies for site design and experiences in site design; and do these differences create barriers to LID?

Kirstin will be presenting a poster showing some preliminary results and insights from the survey results to date at the Toronto and Region Conservation (TRIECA) Conference March 22-23 2017. If you are going to the conference, please drop by and chat to Kirsten. After doing that you will want to vote for her as the best poster (she will win a complimentary conference pass to TRIECA 2018 and the opportunity to publish an article in IECA’s Environmental Connection Magazine).

Here’s a sneak peek at her preliminary results:

Kirstin will also be attending the following conferences in the upcoming months:

Once again, Kirstin’s survey can be completed at https://goo.gl/8pJf6L.

Thanks for your support and help.
